Hypnotherapy
Working with subconscious patterns in a structured, guided state
(Hypnotherapy | In George & Online)
What Hypnotherapy is
Hypnotherapy is a focused, structured approach to working with the subconscious processes that shape thought patterns, emotional responses, and habitual behaviour.
Many patterns persist not because we lack insight, but because they are organised at a deeper level of the mind. The subconscious stores emotional memory, learned beliefs, protective responses, and automatic reactions. Logical understanding alone does not always reach this layer.
Hypnotherapy creates a guided, relaxed, and attentive state in which these deeper patterns can be accessed and worked with intentionally.
This is not stage hypnosis. It is not loss of control. It is a collaborative process focused on guided attention, subconscious patterns, and emotional regulation.
How a Hypnotherapy session works
Before the session, you provide a short description of what you would like to work on. This allows the session to be structured intentionally.
At the start of the session, we clarify the focus – whether it relates to stress, confidence, habits, difficult experiences, emotional patterns, or behavioural loops.
You are then guided into a deeply relaxed yet aware state. This state is similar to the transition between wakefulness and sleep – calm, focused, and receptive.
Within this state, we may work with:
Guided visualisation
Structured suggestion
Emotional processing techniques
Inner child or parts work
Reframing of core beliefs
Subconscious pattern reorganisation
You remain aware and in control throughout. You will not say or do anything against your will.
Sessions are available in person (George) or online via Zoom.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Will I be unconscious or lose control?
Not at all. You’ll be relaxed but fully aware, like a guided meditation with purpose. - What can hypnotherapy help with?
Common areas include stress-related patterns, confidence, habits, limiting beliefs, difficult past experiences, and recurring emotional or behavioural patterns. - Does this actually work online?
Yes. Online sessions can work well for many people when they are in a quiet, private space with good sound.
- How many sessions do I need?
That depends on the issue. The number of sessions varies. Some people choose a single focused session, while others prefer a series of sessions for more in-depth work. - Is this a replacement for medical therapy or medication?
No, this is a complementary therapy, not a substitute for medical or psychiatric care. Always consult your doctor if you’re unsure.
