Counselling

A structured space for emotional clarity and grounded support

(Counselling | In George & Online)

What Counselling is

Counselling provides a focused, structured space to explore personal challenges, relationship dynamics, difficult emotions, and life transitions in a grounded and supportive way.

Life does not always unravel dramatically. Often, stress accumulates gradually, through responsibility, unresolved tension, disappointment, grief, or persistent uncertainty. Over time, people may notice greater emotional pressure, frustration, withdrawal, or uncertainty about direction.

Counselling creates space to pause and examine what is happening beneath the surface, without pressure to perform, fix, or immediately resolve.

This is not passive listening. It is guided, attentive work aimed at helping you understand patterns, regulate emotional responses, and move forward with greater clarity.

Guidance from darkness to light

How Counselling sessions work

Each session begins with your current experience, whether that involves stress, anger, relationship tension, grief, decision-making difficulty, or a general sense of being stuck.

From there, we explore what is driving the emotional response beneath the surface.

Depending on what emerges, sessions may include:

  • Emotional regulation techniques

  • Nervous system awareness

  • Structured reflection and reframing

  • Boundary and communication strategies

  • Parts work (where appropriate)

  • Integration with body-based or subconscious techniques when suitable

The pace is collaborative. Nothing is forced, and nothing is rushed.

Sessions are available in person (George) and online.

Frequently Asked Questions

  1. Is this like traditional therapy?
Similar, but more flexible. I integrate coaching, body awareness, and other modalities to support you holistically.
  2. I’m not good at talking about feelings — is this for me?
Totally. You don’t have to come in with answers. Some people barely talk in the first session – and that’s okay. We start where you’re comfortable.
  3. Can this help with trauma or past emotional wounds?
Yes. Sessions may include exploring difficult past experiences, grief, relationship challenges, and major life transitions in a careful and supportive way.
  1. Is everything confidential?
Your privacy is treated with great care, within the usual legal and professional limits of confidentiality.
  2. How often should I book sessions?
That depends on your goals. Weekly or bi-weekly is a good start, but we’ll find a rhythm that suits you.
  3. Will I be forced to talk about stuff I am not ready to?
No. It is my responsibility to nudge you gently, but I will never force you. No pressure – you can choose not to talk about something if you’re not ready. I will respect it.
